MYTH 1: The darker the tint, the cooler the car will be.

The main cause of heat in vehicles is the infrared rays emitting from the sun. If your vehicle is not tinted, the infrared rays will continue to heat the inside of the vehicle as well as amplifying UV-A (which penetrates deep into tissues and materials) and UV-B (which damages surface levels).
A basic or dyed film may darken the vehicle’s windows but lacks the ability to cut down on infrared rays. Although it may be the cheaper option, it does offer the least amount of benefits.
The more expensive, but beneficial option is to install a high quality ceramic film. Ceramic films are infused with ceramic particles that diffuse infrared rays and drastically reduce heat. Ceramic films also block up to 99% of UV-A and UV-B resulting in greater protection for your skin.
The moral of the story is that it does not matter how dark the tint is, but the material that it’s made of. For example, a clear ceramic film will block our more heat than a dyed 5% film.
