MYTH 4 : Coatings make my paint invincible. I don’t have to worry about washing or scratching my car

While the features of coatings involve enhanced slickness and a glass-like surface, coatings are meant to simplify the washing process by repelling water.

The glass-like surface does harden the surface but is not scratch-proof. One improper wash can cause swirls, waterspots, and even diminish the coating itself.

Be sure to ALWAYS use the proper tools, chemicals, and techniques when performing a coating maintenance wash!

Avoid using abrasive tools such as brushes, sponges, and dirty wash mitts, avoid using cheap car wash soaps and high PH products, and STAY AWAY from machine car washes!
